NEW THEATRE'S HIRING POLICIES
New Theatre is a 100 seat, Equity-affiliated (SPT4), professional, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) theater that produces nine plays for an annual audience of 15,000. New Theatre hires primarily actors and stage managers who are members of Actors' Equity Association. Occasionally early-career, non-union actors are hired in large cast shows in supporting roles. Our annual auditions are held once a year and announced on the Equity Hotline and on the Theatre League of South Florida weekly update E-newsletter and are open to all actors, regardless of union affiliation. Actors are hired on a show-by-show basis during the season and auditions for individual shows are open to AEA members and by invitation only to all others.
